Laurel is our most rugged butterhead lettuce. An older variety that is suitable for a wide range of conditions. Uniform, with a medium green color that does well in the humid tropics. Tipburn tolerant and resistant to Bremia BL 1-4,6,7,10, 13-15.
Performs very well in the tropics and subtropics.
Unlike field varieties that are widley sold for use in greenhouse, these varieties are smaller framed allowing for higher plant populations with exceptional rates of growth that reach maturity much more quickly.
