Alexandria is a newer summer variety of butterhead lettuce for indoor cultivation. It has good size and performance and is an easy summer variety (long day). Alexandria RZ can be grown on NFT, as a soil-grown crop and in floating production. It is very strong against tipburn and bolting and is very easy to cut.
Unlike field varieties that are widely sold for use in greenhouse, these varieties are smaller framed allowing for higher plant populations with exceptional rates of growth that mean plants reach maturity much more quickly.
