Golden Solo Sunrise F1 is the world's #1 papaya variety by production volume, originally developed in Hawaii for international export. Its combination of exceptional sweetness, hard outer shell for long-distance shipping, and prolific yield makes it the benchmark variety for commercial papaya growers worldwide. Note: Sunrise carries no virus tolerance — it performs best in low-PRSV-pressure environments or where strict sanitation protocols are in place.

Important: No Virus Tolerance

Unlike Red Lady or Red Nemesis, Solo Sunrise has no tolerance to Papaya Ring Spot Virus (PRSV). This is a critical consideration for site selection. Sunrise is best suited to areas with low PRSV pressure, or where rigorous sanitation, aphid control, and roguing programs are in place. If PRSV is a concern in your growing area, consider Red Nemesis F1 or Red Lady 786 F1 instead.
